Well, I got a Trojan Horse virus on my home computer while doing this lesson. But I have really enjoyed the Reader. Here's my feed address: http://jimiksblog.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

#3 - Blogs & Blogging

It is done.

One way a blog could be used in the library is for Customer Comments instead of the comment cards. A Customer Survey could be on each screen during survey weeks. The customer would have the opportunity to fill it out without us having to ask.

#2 - IM & Virtual Reference

I wrote in my comment for the lesson that I helped my granddaughter use Ask A Librarian but it was Live Homework Help. Oh well, wanna see what my husband caught in our back yard New Years Eve? He was sunning on a bench (the iguana not my husband). Isn't he gorgeous?

#1-What is Library 2.0?

I watched 25 Technologies in 50 Minutes. Then I went to Pandora Radio and made my own radio station: The Joni Mitchell Channel. It was fun. You type in an artist or song that you like and songs that have the essence of your choice are played for you. While the song is playing you can look at biographical notes of the artists and suggestions of similar artists. A great way to hear new music and oldies you haven't heard for a long time. I heard Dory Previn! If something plays you don't like, give it a thumbs down and it's gone-no commercials!
Of course I couldn't post a comment yet since that was Lesson 3, but I read all the other comments.
Tikki Tembo trying to guess the name of the smelly plant.

The mystery plant is a Corpse Flower. Thanks to LeighM from Talking Books, etal. for putting me on the trail by showing me a Voodoo Lily article given to her by one of her Talking Books patrons. Here's a picture of the foliage when it's not blooming and the link that gave me the name: http://www.rareflora.com/amorphophalluspae.htm
