**#12 - Gaming in Libraries**

I didn't spend much time with Second Life but I'm going to show my 15 year old granddaughter. The Info Island Archipelago Tour was very cool. Maybe we could do a tour of all our branches in Second Life. It seems similar to SimCity, which I've never played but watched my granddaughter play last year.

My 13 year old grandson was briefly interested in Speed Stacking a few years ago. I think it would be a fun summer activity at the library with several practice meetings before the final contest.

I've spent many hours on Just For Kids with my 3 year old grandson; mostly at pbskids with Clifford, Curious George and Boobah.

Well, I guess this is the last post for my learning blog. I really enjoyed this experience, but my husband will be glad to get me off the computer. I never spent one minute on this blog at work since I've been busy putting in an honest eight hours a day!

Thanks Library 2.0 Team! Let's have more of this kind of training.

#10 - Social Bookmarking, Tagging & Folksonomies

I signed on to del.icio.us and found some cool websites to help grandchildren with last week of school projects which had been left until the last minute, of course. How cool to be able to access my bookmarks from any computer.

I tried to use Fiction Connection with a customer and didn't find it helpful, mainly because I had no idea how to use the tags. I was more familiar with NoveList, but it looks different now. So, I'm glad I'm getting to know both when I'm not with a customer!

It's that time of year again when the Corpse Flower is blooming. So here is the new crop. The first pics were from June 2007.
